The school uses a number of programs to support communication with families, most of which send notifications to parent/carer email addresses.

Below if a brief summary for your information:

Academic Progress – Connect provides information on your child’s classes, allowing you to see the program outlines, lesson notes, resources and any other useful information for students. Connect also allows you to view your child’s marks and progress for each subject. If you are unable to log in to Connect, please contact the school to request support or email Gary Thirlwell (our IT Technician) to request support: yanchep.sc.it@education.wa.edu.au

Excursions – students are invited to excursions using Consent2go. Parents were sent a registration email for this which may have gone into junk mail. If you require this to be resent, please contact school reception.

When an invitation is received for your child, please click on the confirm attendance button. This will allow you to accept or reject the invitation. Please note that acceptance and payment must be received by the due date for a student to attend an excursion. This allows the school time to finalise transport requirements and any other costs.

Attendance and Behaviour – sms text messages are sent out for students who have been marked absent each day if parents/carers have not notified the school of the reason for their child’s absence. You can reply to this text message with the reason for your child’s absence or email:

SEQTA is the system used by teaching staff to record student behaviour, both positive and negative, as well as any concerns that may occur throughout the school day. Parent/Carers will often receive emails through SEQTA when staff wish to provide information on behaviour and engagement at school. Replies can be sent to these emails.
