Popular Band was created for interested students to develop their technical, listening, ensemble and performance skills on their chosen instrument, focusing on popular songs.
Students rehearse once a week on both familiar and new repertoire, with the goal of working towards performance opportunities. They are currently preparing for the annual Contemporary Music Ensemble Festival open to all public school students, and plan to showcase some songs at an end of year performance at YSC.
