On the 9th of August, Yanchep Secondary College will welcome a group of Year 9-11 Japanese students from Shimodate Daiichi Junior High School & High School, Chikusei, for an 8 nights cultural exchange.
The visit presents an exciting opportunity for our school community to host these students and expose your kids to a new and interesting culture. For the visiting Japanese students, staying with a local family is the highlight of their visit and a chance for them to experience the Aussie way of life. This simple act of kindness creates lifelong memories like no other.
GOLD Educational Tours, the organiser of the upcoming visit, is inviting families who are keen to be involved to get in touch and register their interest to host a student. Families who sign up will receive $400 to help cover expenses and have access to 24/7 support throughout their stay.
